Treatment for Sports Injuries At The Dungarvan Health Clinic

Sport Rehabilitation

The Graduate Sport Rehabilitator in the Dungarvan Complementary Health Clinic has the knowledge and skills necessary to recognise the risks associated with injury and implement an appropriate plan to minimise these risks. This involves the planning, implementation and interpretation of pre-participation screening, to identify potential predisposing factors to musculoskeletal injury and health related disorders.

Secondly they possess the knowledge and skills necessary to recognise and evaluate the status of the individual and from this information determine the appropriate course of management. This evaluation involves an approach that incorporates neuromusculoskeletal, physiological and psychosocial approaches, with full consideration of health and lifestyle factors.

Finally where the Graduate Sport Rehabilitator proves valuable to you is their knowledge and skills on how to facilitate the recovery of function, return to physical activity, and high levels of performance through a clinically reasoned approach, not only through therapeutic intervention but also through an intervention strategy such as functional rehabilitation in the gym.
